There are numerous studies on the positive impact of youth sports to the community both directly and indirectly (see below)
However, there are additional negative impacts as well shown in this study. In recent years, in youth sports, there has been an over zealousness of “making it pro” on the behalf of coaches and parents alike. In my opinion, there has been an over commitment to making it by over focusing on trainings and competition to the detriment of ensuring the 360 development of the youth. This is where Dream Prepare Compete strives to fill the gap.
Our motto is to “Dream Big”. Dreaming Big is not synonymous with athletics but is a goal for life in general. The major components of our philosophy are to develop thru active living (athletics), Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), social skills (team building/group outings) and social awareness (volunteerism).
